Love and peace with Alice

Alice and her army from Wonderland (created with Bing Image Creator powered by DALL-E 3)

Isn’t it better never than late?

From Pablo Neruda’s Book of Questions

In this poem Alice Dora Hellberg Demeanour, my personified nerodivergence is answering like an Echo. If you want to know more about Alice I refer you to this post Slumber Party with Alice.

My life reached a high I
At work I go up and above love
My to-do list a never ending queue you
Always happy to give someone a hand and
Even picked up again my quill will
Compartmented in my mind a dis tract distract
Place hostile comments in this hutch such
Even manage doing things I loathe at that
Got my tools to keep the important in my view you
Caught my life cheese straw on the yummy crisp end spend
Still I can get off the rails at anytime time
Alice, let us make peace forthwith with
You have a too strong and resourceful army me.

Laura Bloomsbury is hosting the MTB prompt: Echoing Back on dVerse. We are choosing at least one from a given selection of Pablo Neruda’s “Book of Questions” and writing an answering poem that echoes/refrains on an end word.

  1. Wonderful answering / echoing poem!!!!

  2. You did a great job with the echo in your poem.

  3. I like how you did this. Thanks for showing me how. Lovely. Bless you.

  4. I can see the answer is really telling you how you manage to go up and do what you do… love the echo

    • Thanks, Björn! Indeed the answer for me is to make peace and work along with my traits rather than fighting them. 😉
And of course spend enough time to be creative and e. g. write poems or draw something.

  5. An interesting format, Jan, as you make peace with ADHD. 🙂

  6. “My to-do list a never ending queue”

I so get that. I need to make a grocery list and I have forgotten that fact so many times today. Here we are. After midnight (my time) and I still haven’t started the damn list.😫 I got lots of other stuff done, though, and there’s still plenty in queue.🫣
