Claws of Clever Cats – A Poetic Purrsuit

Our Norwegian forest cats (Nov. 2021)
Sharpen your sentences like the claws of clever cats
Kind of killing inner critics from the category rats
Climbing countless trees, despite the rain in gallons
Becoming by beats of counting clocks fabulous feline felons
And at times the hunt hops in thy talons!
Jan H. Hellberg (19.3.2024)
Inspired again by cats, I decided to post this time a real photo of our beloved feline fellows. No photoshop, nothing they are really that photogenic.
And as before in this poem about the Whiskered Versifier I like the image of the poet, like a cat waiting for the right moment and it’s prey. And little hidden extra, 4 lines of this poem here have 9 words. Enough symbolism for this one.
It’s Quadrille Monday over at dVerse, and De Jackson is hosting. We’re playing with 44 words around „sharp“ ideas and inspirations. Come and join or read the results.

Oh we forget that they are truly carnivorian and not cuddly little kittens.
